Dining Out Bahamian Style

With the surrounding waters providing a daily harvest of fresh fish, lobster, and conch, seafood lovers can enjoy dishes prepared from just - caught grouper, snapper, dolphin (not Flipper, a game fish), tuna, and other fish. But seafood isn't the only great dining experience to be had. The gourmet will be delighted to find several world-class restaurants serving exquisite continental fare, accompanied by equally fine wines, garnished with superb ser vice. Just want a quick, tasty meal? You'll find every variety you could wish for, from burgers and sandwiches to pizza to fried chicken. And, of course, there's always the delight of a leisurely breakfast, lunch, or dinner served in your room or on your deck, with spectacular views for appetizers or maybe a moonlit night under a c anopy of stars for your dining room.

BEACH BAR
Cocktails
The perfect spot to take a break from the sun, this full-service bar serves up cool tropical and mixed drinks overlooking three miles of white sandy beach. Open daily from 11 AM to 5 PM.

THE BOAT HOUSE
Grille/Seafood
Originally an authentic boathouse, this casual restaurant features prime steaks, lobster, and seafood cooked on your personal tableside grill. Dinner is served from 7 to 11 PM daily, except Wednesdays.

CAFE CASINO
American
Lunch, dinner, and late-night snacks in the great tradition of the American-style coffee shop. The menu includes such diverse fare as authentic New York deli-style club sandwiches, the best pizza on the island, thick milkshakes, and more. Open daily from 11:30 AM to 7 AM.

CAFE MARTINIQUE
French
Overlooking Paradise lagoon, this romantic French restaurant is world famous for its outstanding food and service. Soft music and candlelit tables set the mood for an elegant evening. Dinner is served 7 to 11 PM daily, except Sundays.

THE CAVE
Fast Food/Cocktails
An authentic re-creation of an actual Bahamian cave with close-up underwater views of the marine habitat, the Cave serves salads, sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, ice cream, and other fast food fare. Cocktails are available in the bar area. The Cave is open from 11 AM to 5 PM daily.

LAGOON BAR
Snacks/Cocktails
A spectacular setting accessed via an underwater viewing tunnel that runs directly beneath the Predator Lagoon. Light fare and drinks are served daily. The bar is open from 10 am to 10 PM. Food is served from 11:30 am to 3 PM.

MAMA LOO'S
Caribbean-Chinese
Mama Loo's is open for dinner daily except Mondays. The menu features unique Caribbean-Chinese delights in an upbeat atmosphere accompanied by contemporary music. Dinner is served from 6:30 to 11 PM.

OVERLOOK CAFE
Casual
Relax with lunches and cocktails overlooking the fabulous 14-acre waterscape. Lunch 11:30 to 3 PM; cocktails 'til 6 PM.

SEAGRAPES
International
This new upbeat international marketplace buffet offers food from around the world. Breakfast is served from 7 to 11 AM, lunch from noon to 3 PM, and dinner from 5:30 to 10:00 PM. Breakfast and lunch are available seven days, dinner Tuesday through S unday.

VILLA D'ESTE
Italian
A trendy trattoria offering the island's finest Northern Italian cuisine. Featured are authentic antipasto displays, tasty specialty dishes, and freshly brewed cappuccino and espresso. Dinner is served 6:30 to 11 PM daily, except 'Wednesdays.
